Traditional Osteopathic Medicine is a philosophic approach to health, looking inside the patient for the force of healing. As the pioneering approach to true holistic medicine, it views an individual as a triune being, body, mind, and spirit. If we find strain in one part, all other parts must change their point of balance to compensate for that strain. Traditional Osteopathic Medicine addresses healing in all three areas, to facilitate the expression of health.
There’re many different manual techniques available to the osteopathic physician. We use these techniques to unlock the healing potency that lies within everyone. Cranial Osteopathy, which is at the center of my practice, is the most comprehensive method of applying Dr. A.T. Still’s philosophy to all parts of the human being.
Dr. Still’s philosophy is based on natures laws. We examine the natural rhythms inherent within the body, then reduce restrictions of those natural rhythms, restoring normal nerve, blood, and lymph flow allowing health to flourish.
All the materials needed for healing are found within the human body. Traditional Osteopathic Medicine is a time proven, health-oriented model of medicine that’s been in practice for more than 120 years. It is the alternative to western medicine, which is a disease-oriented model of medicine.
“I love my patients,
I see God in their faces and in their form.”
A. T. Still 1908
